Chittagong University Admission Circular 2023-2024
Chittagong University (CU) is a prestigious public university in Bangladesh that offers admission to undergraduate Honours programs across various fields of study. Minimum Requirement
To be eligible for admission application to Chittagong University, interested applicants must have passed the SSC/Equivalent exam in 2020 & 2021 and the HSC/Equivalent exam in 2022 & 2023. Additionally, candidates have to meet the below academic requirements-

Marks Distribution
The CU admission examination is conducted with a total of 100 marks, following a multiple-choice method written test where 0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer. Achieving a minimum passing score of 40 is necessary. Students applying for admission for second time face a deduction of 5 marks from their overall score, encompassing MCQ, SSC, and HSC results.

Online Application Process
Chittagong University (CU) requires all interested candidates to apply for admission using their online admission portal. Any manual application will not be considered valid. To apply for admission, follow the below steps:
- Visit the official CU online admission portal at admission.cu.ac.bd.
- Click on the “Apply Now” button and fill in the application form with your personal details.
- Once you have completed the form, click on the “Submit” button.
- You will receive a confirmation code via SMS on your registered mobile number.
- Enter the confirmation code in the designated field on the application form.
- After this, set up your profile on the admission portal.

Payment Process
Applicants who wish to pay their application fees for the Chittagong University admission test can choose from two payment methods. The first payment method is ROCKET, which is the mobile banking service provided by DBBL. The second payment method is Bkash, which is the mobile banking service provided by BRAC bank. Here are the steps to follow for each payment method:
Through bKash (BRAC Bank Mobile Banking):
- In the bKash app, select ‘Explore More’ and then choose ‘Education Fee’.
- Enter your bKash account PIN number.
- Select ‘University’ and choose University of Chittagong.
- Hold and slide the bottom section of the screen to complete ‘Education Fee’.
- Provide the current month and bill number.
- Check the fee amount and tap to proceed to the next screen.
- Upon successful payment of the ‘Education Fee,’ you will receive a confirmation.
- You can view the digital receipt of your bill within the app.”

Point to be noted
- Candidates of all the units will be able to use general quality (without the option of the mercury) calculator in the examination center.
- Candidate’s mobile phone, Calculator with Memory Option, Clock and pen with electronic device or any type of device to hold/use is completely prohibited.
