Jahangirnagar University Admission Circular 2025
Jahangirgarh University (abbreviated as JU) is a leading public university in Bangladesh. The university has 34 departments and 3 institutes and has a total of 1818 seats. Online application is going on for admission in these seats in the 2025 academic year.

Minimum Requirement
Candidate must pass SSC/equivalent examination in 2021 or later and HSC or its equivalent examination in 2023 or 2024. That means students can apply for 2nd-time admission test.
- A Unit – Candidates must have a minimum total GPA 8.50 and 4.00 in both SSC and HSC examinations separately. Details
- B,C and E Unit – Candidates from science group must have total GPA 8.00 and Arts/Commerce/ Equivalent group need to have 7.50 in both SSC and HSC examinations but separately need 3.50. Details
- C1 Unit – Candidates must have a total GPA of 7.00 in both SSC and HSC examinations but separately GPA 3.50.
- D Unit – Candidates must have a total GPA of 9.00 in SSC and HSC examinations and separately GPA 4.00. Details
- Institute of Business administration , IBA -JU – For science group: Total 8.50 and separately 4.25. For Arts/Business/Similar Group: Total 8.00 and separately 4.00.
Marks Distribution
Candidates will be evaluated based on 100 marks. There will be 80 marks in the admission test and 20 marks will be on the result of SSC & HSC exam.
80 Marks (Admission Test) – There will 80 MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) questions with 1 mark for each. You will get 55 min for answering all the questions. The pass mark is 27 out of 80 marks.
20 Marks ( SSC & HSC GPA) – (HSC GPA x 2.5 ) + ( SSC GPA x 1.5 ) = 20
